Today is a Sunday and you know what that means............
Bagan lalang is a beach town on the west coast of Malaysia.
It is not so crowded like the more popular resort towns and its
only about 100km from my house.I left early ( for me) at 8am
and took the highway all the way to our Formula 1 Circuit in Sepang.
From there it was B roads all the way to the beach.
Total distance about 200km.

Highway to Sepang F1 track

B roads nice and empty

See the fun sign ? zoom in

Finally arrived. They call it the gold coast but trust me
it is just a quiet beach village.
The construction you see on the water is for chalets for people
to buy as weekend/holiday homes.

Beautification in progress.

At the extreme end of the village i found a quiet spot away
from the masses .Pulled up ,stretched and took a short walk.

I think the far end is a Mangrove swamp.Didn't walk there though.Lazy.

Bike on the beach.3 more 'B's and my day is made
Beer ,Babe and Bikini.
Ah well

At the other end of the beach there is a nice restaurant
that is built over the water.Unfortunately it was closed.
Too early i guess.

After a bit more exploring it was time to head home.
Have to plan my next ride soon.
Cheers

A group of guys from MAFTS organised a sunday ride last weekend. The route was , meet up at PJ .Then proceed to Cheras for the second meet up.From there its to Kuala Klawang via the hulu langat -semenyih dam route.Thats the twisty bits. Then after breakfast at KK its of to PD for Lunch on the beach. It was a really fun ride.Met old friends and made new ones.As for the ride most of the guys took off during the winding roads bit.I rode at my own pace as i didnt want to become part of the scenery. Not too far behind though. All in all a good day( will only say this once i'm safely home)
Total distance about 350 km.

first meet up point in PJ

The only other 650R i've seen live.Damn nice sounding scorpion exhaust.

Second meet up point at Cheras.

Eventhough you cant see it well ,behind the guy dead center-If you enlarge the pic,(click on it). is the tail of a bike with reg no WFV 8018.what a pleasant surprise to see it as it was my old bike 94' GSXR1100.Now in streetfighterguise courtesy of her current owner.Nice memories .

After the hills we stopped in KK town for lunch

Then it was off to the beach for lunch. Here a group of us are waiting for the rest who took a different route.

Sign in front of my bike says speed limit 90, and we strictly adhered to that ; )
Have to check how many speeding tickets i 've got.

The 10th mile beach we stopped at was crowded and congested.

You cant see the sea well cause of all the tents put up

Anyway we had drinks and some food there,Then some guys suggested
another place down the road for a proper meal.20 minutes later
we reached this nice chinese restaurant cum beer garden.

After a relaxing lunch with lots of cold drinks we went our separate ways home.
Reaching home after rehydrating myself and a nice long shower,I capped of the day
by getting a nice foot massage.Perfect end to the day.
Cheers.

Finally got to ride again as my stupid exams were over.So this morning i decided to go to genting via the ulu yam way .As it was a wednesday the roads were empty , great for a little quality time for me and the bike- 200km worth of quality time.
Had to slab it to Batu Caves, from there its was sheer motorbiking bliss all the way to genting.

Ulu yam road,built for bikes

Hills and curves, note the absence of cars.

Time to go up in life.

First sighting of genting highlands.

The cablecar station at the base of genting

Up at top of the hill this was the view. Not mist , more like low clouds.

On the way down things started to clear a bit

Half way down.obligatory bike shot.Notice more curves.

After an enjoyable time ,its back to home and work.Nice ride though.
